The New Release - Princess Nokias Double Album Drop

New York born Puerto Rican Singer and songwriter, Princess Nokia has officially released her third and fourth albums titled “Everything Is Beautiful” and “Everything Sucks". Princess Nokia has become well known name in the Rap Scene since the drop of her album “Metallic Butterfly” back in 2014 but she gained even more notoriety in 2017 when her album “19992 Deluxe” hit Billboards top 25. The New York native is recognized for her new-age style. Influences of Melancholy trap beats and modern emo tones synthesize with Princess Nokias unique voice to produce a sound all of its own.

The “Everything Is Beautiful” project carries the traditional bubbly magic style lyricism we are used to hearing from the artist while also using some of those “Sugar Honey Iced Tea” influences. Meaning, we get the same level of cutesy we are expecting with an added dose of ‘boss bitch’ energy.

“Everything Sucks” is the obviously darker side of the project. The sub low beats and harder lyricism showcase Nokia’s diversity, songs like “I Like Him” and “Balenciaga” are sure fire spring and summer hits.

The project contains 3 music videos in total “Green Eggs & Ham” being the newest release, shows her childlike vision while “Balenciaga” is an equally creative video with themes that display her NYC roots.

Overall, despite what could have been a messy launch considering the large amount of music, everything was dropped with care. The albums themselves were well-ordered, making for a successful and easily enjoyable project with interesting visuals to match.
